The Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser to support Kiwanis Youth Programs and Scholarships will be presented by the Carlsbad Kiwanis Club on Saturday, February 4 from 6 to 11am at the Carlsbad High School Cafeteria. Tickets are $5 each and children under 6 get in free with a paying adult. It is all you can eat so eat all you can!! There will be live entertainment and a raffle for a 50 inch TV. The Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting a Discovery Tour on Saturday, February 4 beginning at 10am. Meet at the Joseph R. Skeen Visitor Center. Light walking will be part of the tour.

The Baby Boomer Expo will be Saturday, February 4 from 10am until 6pm. Over 60 Vender Booths, Entertainment, A Free Hot Dog Lunch at Noon and your chance to win a 2012 Scion for only $10 per chance. All happening at the Roswell Convention Center.
The Roswell Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours will be February 16 at the Hampton Inn and Suites from 5pm until 7pm. Bring your business cards and network with other business people.

The Roswell Gun Club will hold their Annual Banquet on March 3 at 6pm at Los Cerritos, 2103 North Main in Roswell. Cost will be $12.50 per person and payable at the door, includes food, beverage and tip. All Members are encouraged to attend and guests are welcome. Bring a door prize!!
The Roswell Adult and Senior Center is taking reservations for Federal and New Mexico State Income Tax Preparation. Volunteers will be doing Federal 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ Forms. Please bring your own forms and they will do your NM State Taxes. To qualify you have to make less than $40,000 a year and have no rental properties and no real estate. Tax preparation will be held on Tuesday and Thursday 10 to 1 and 2 to 5pm and on Friday evenings. Sign up for your appointment by going by the center at 807 North Missouri.
The Roswell Museum and Art Center has a joint Exhibition to celebrate New Mexico's Centennial and Roswell's history with "Roswell: Diamond of the Pecos" exhibit on display throughout 2012. The Youth Challenge Program in Roswell needs your help to keep operating. If you would like to donate to this program for at-risk youth, you can send your donation to the New Mexico Youth Challenge Foundation. PO Box 1077, Roswell, NM 88202. Any size donation is welcome. All donations are tax deductable.
The Super Bowl of Shooting, also known as the Steel Challenge, will be held every third Saturday of the month at the Roswell Gun Club. The Steel Challenge consists of up to five steel targets, four targets and a stop plate to stop your time. Each stage is run four or five times and your worst score is not counted. The Roswell Salvation Army does daily pick ups of clothing, furniture, shoes, appliances, mattresses, beds and other household items. We pick up Monday thru Saturday 9am - 4pm. The Salvation Army truck picks up in Artesia, Dexter, Hagerman, Lake Arthur, and of course, in Roswell. On the 2nd and last Saturday of each month we pick up in Cloudcroft and Ruidoso.
